Setting up the Environment for our Weather App

Welcome to the build-along! In this module, you’ll code and create the full Weather App one step at a time. We’ll guide you through the environment setup, folder structure, building components, styling, and running the app. Make sure to follow along line by line, and by the end, your weather app will be live and functional.

Step 1: Install Node.js & npm

Visit nodejs.org, download and install the LTS version.

Step 2: Verify Installation

Open a terminal or command prompt and type:

node -v

npm -v

You should see version numbers printed. If you do, you're good to go!

Step 3: Create Your React App

Run the following commands in your terminal:

npx create-react-app weather-app

cd weather-app

Your base project is now set up. Let’s move on!
